Hi Guys:
I'm sitting here in a hotel in Cleveland with nothing to do and nothing on the tube, so figured I'd show you my new M222s!

I'm brand new to Chinese mechanicals and I love manual wind watches and this is my first Chinese manual. It arrived this past Saturday, with excellent service and comms from Kevin at Sea-Gull USA.
我剛接觸中國(guó)機(jī)械表，而且我喜歡手卷，這也是我第一塊中國(guó)產(chǎn)手卷表。它上個(gè)周六剛到，并且我得到了來(lái)自海鷗美國(guó)(SEAGULL USA，一個(gè)購(gòu)物網(wǎng)站)的Kevin童鞋的很好的服務(wù)與建議！

This baby is big, but perfect big. Not sure how big my wrist is - I think I measured it at 7.25" once. But this watch fits perfect.

The band is a real beauty: big, thick, very nicely pebble grained leather with fantastic contrasting stitching. A nice, thick metal buckle too. The band perfectly fits the style of the watch I think and I don't plan on changing it any time soon, a first!

I picked the brown, and although it's not as dark chocolate brown as I thought, it's very nice. Don't have a lume shot, but this baby lights up, I can tell you that.
我選了個(gè)咖啡色的，雖然沒有想的巧克力那么棕色，但也很給力。它雖然不至于酷炫，但是也要反光。我可以這么說(shuō)。
The numbers are SO easy to read for these tired ol' eyes! I'm not 100% crazy about the hands, I think they look a bit plain, I kind of wish they had some zing to them, maybe thinner, or with a sharper point.
數(shù)字表盤通俗易讀，特別對(duì)于那些老花眼的家伙。我對(duì)時(shí)針不是那么感冒，我覺得他有點(diǎn)太樸素了，我想要稍微活力點(diǎn)的，也許更薄點(diǎn)的，針尖要更尖銳一點(diǎn)的。
The minute hand bends down towards the end also, you can probably notice it in the photos. Only a WIS would notice though. I think it's to fit under the slight curvature of the huge sapphire crystal and the central post that holds the hands seems a bit taller than it could be.
分針稍微往下彎點(diǎn)，如圖所示。不過也只有個(gè)表癡（watch idiot savant）才會(huì)注意到。我覺得可能是因?yàn)橐纤{(lán)寶石鏡面的曲線率吧。從表鏡的中間看時(shí)針會(huì)更長(zhǎng)點(diǎn)。
The back is a beauty also, supposed to be sapphire also, with blued screws and jewels that can be seen.
背面也很巴適。應(yīng)該也是藍(lán)寶石的。可以看見藍(lán)色的螺釘和寶石。
OK, so here's the best thing: I set it as close as I could with the sub-second hand to my "atomic" Casio. I wind the 'Gull only once a day, about the same time around 4 pm. In the first 36 hours, it was only 6 seconds slow. I reset it and it was 4 seconds slow in the next 24 hours. It speeded up slightly and today, the evening of the 4th day, it's within 1 second of NIST time!
It seems to run very, very slightly fast when it sits face up overnight, but so far, this watch is more accurate than any manual or auto I own, including my $2,000+ Omega Seamaster that just came back from a $275.00 overhaul and timing!
好了，現(xiàn)在講最叼的地方：我把它跟我的小秒針卡西歐時(shí)間盡可能調(diào)成一樣，我給海鷗一天只上一次鏈，每天都是下午4點(diǎn)的左右上，第一個(gè)36小時(shí)里，它只慢了6秒！我重設(shè)了時(shí)間，然后24小時(shí)內(nèi)只慢了4秒！然后它稍微加速了點(diǎn)，在第4天的今天晚上，它居然跟美國(guó)官方時(shí)間只差了1秒！當(dāng)我通宵鏡面朝下放的時(shí)候它看起來(lái)貌似跑得快了點(diǎn)，不過到現(xiàn)在，這家伙比我所有的自動(dòng)或者手卷都準(zhǔn)，包括我剛剛花275刀檢修回來(lái)的2000刀的哦賣糕海馬在內(nèi)。
Bottom line, the Sea-Gull M222s is a keeper, I can't seem to get it off my wrist, it fits and feels beautiful, keeps near-perfect time and looks and feels great and built with excellent quality!
Now I want a Sea-Gull Skeleton! What do you think guys, show me your M222s!

Great looking watch! I actually really like how simple the hands are for this model, but I see your point. The back of this watch is beautiful too.

I love how Sea-Gull manages to do simple- and plain-looking watches properly. Complications have their places, but sometimes less is definitely more.
我喜歡海鷗就是因?yàn)樗麄兊暮?jiǎn)約風(fēng)。復(fù)雜也許好，但有時(shí)候簡(jiǎn)單更好。

Well, taste is taste but I gotta tell you, I think the hands are perfect for that watch, and that's about the first thing I thought when I first saw your photos:
"finally, straight up clean hands on a clean dial."

I'm a big fan of brown dials - I didn't realize it until I started to get lots of compliments one of my first watches. Now my eyes tend to be drawn toward the brown
when viewing watch catalogues, etc. Nice choice of watch!

Thanks guys - there's definitely something about this one that makes it hard to take it off my wrist! My other 20-odd watches are getting jealous!

That’s a beautiful and very clean and understated watch; a real classic. The strap looks great also.
If I'm not mistaken, that's the same movement as in my Parnis Chronoswiss homage ST3600? It's a very accurate movement as near as I can tell. I've to 2 Chronoswiss
homage and neither of them has second hands, but from my observations, they're both spot-on. Gorgeous movement too.
